Mout Fuji from Haneda airport
If you plan to fly to Tokyo, I strongly suggest that you chose flights landing and departing from Haneda airport. Haneda is in Tokyo, and not some 80km away like Narita. Haneda is smaller, cosier, and globally speaking more human than Narita, although some frequent flyers find Narita’s lounges better.
But above all, Haneda has this kind of marvellous view to offer. If you have time, go to the domestic section at terminal 1, head to the observation terrace and enjoy the view. The airport installed here a few tables and chairs, a few vending machines and a snack restaurant (which I never saw open). The place is really worth a visit, especially on bright clear days since you’ll enjoy Mout Fuji right behind the international terminal.
