Stunning sunsets, in a former bunker !
The modern Taiwan was born in a tragedy and has been living under constant threat for the last 60 years. The island keeps preparing itself to repel a Chinese invasion. In the past, one common line of defence was a huge network of big bunkers, pretty much like those built by the germans on the French shores.
Today, many of these bunkers are useless, and have been relieved of their military purposes, such as this one on the island of Hsiao Liuqiu (小琉球) who used to be part of a set of two artillery bunkers. The gun has been removed and tourists can now walk in the bunker and enjoy a wonderful sunset in a very special location.
