Taiwan if filled with buddhist temples. These places have a lot in common with the Japanese ones, and differ a lot. The most obvious difference can be seen even before you enter the temple. They are full of colors, of statues, of plants and flowers, of decorated pillars, smell incense and are sometimes packed with people. Not all of them though… a few exception exist, and some of them are just as exceptional locations. We’ll mention some later.
