Colorful little restaurants at night
Tokyo by day is like almost all modern Japanese cities… ugly. Or at best without style or interest except for some very precise areas. But at night, it is a totally different story. The dark hides the ugly buildings. And many small restaurants light up lanterns, neons, colorful signs… suddenly insipid streets by day become full of charm, perfectly attractive. I love this dual identity, this “Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde” city, just because many areas are simply not the same depending on the time of the day.
